Neighborhood Spotlight: The Landings and Hawks Nest

The Landings and Hawks Nest are adjacent subdivisions Northwest of downtown Coeur d’Alene. It is a highly desired area for multiple reasons- its location directly between Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls, Landings Park, walking trails and sidewalks, solid homes, and a family friendly atmosphere. The neighborhoods are bordered by Hanley to the South, Huetter to the West, Prairie to the North and Atlas to the East.


The average home price in 2021 for this neighborhood was $512,850- with a high of $755K and a low of $385K. The homes range in size from 900 to 3,800 square feet and the bigger homes can have 5 or 6 bedrooms. The majority of the homes were built in the early 2000’s but some are as new as 2016. There are currently five homes for sale in this neighborhood, ranging in price from $425K and up to $699.9K. Home prices have increased exponentially in this neighborhood, as with the greater CDA region, and homes generally remain on the market for 6 weeks or less, making it a highly desirable region to call home.


The walking paths that wind throughout the neighborhood and the 11-acre Landings Park are the two highlights of this area for the 8,500 residents. The park features a playground, a splash pad, basketball courts, volleyball, horseshoes, tennis courts, open space, and two picnic shelters.
